What's Included?

Interface Overview

We will review each menu bar in-depth and cover what each tool is used for, specifically in regards to laser design.

Cheat Sheets

I've included cheat sheets for each different menu bar to give you a quick, easy-to-access reference guide for when you are working on your own files.

Practice Worksheets

I'll walk you through various different practice worksheets so you can get comfortable with each skill before jumping in to the project lessons.

Ten Project Modules

We will work through ten different projects to help you master the skills we review in the practice lessons and give you real-world experience using the different techniques.

Offsets and Text

We'll practice the offset workaround and different methods for working with text so that you can edit purchased files with ease.

Shape Builder Tools

We will review the shape builder tool along with the different combine shape functions to help you learn how to build from simple shapes to create intricate designs.

Engraving Patterns

We'll review how to create detailed engraving patterns with minimal effort. We'll also discuss reverse-engraving and why one might choose scoring over engraving when creating projects or listing files for sale.

Anchor Point Editing & Outline View

We'll chat in-depth about the importance of anchor point editing, outline view, and the different tools I use to make my files line up perfectly.

Creating Single Line Scoring Designs

Are you tired of the dreaded "double outline" effect when tracing your laser designs in a vector program? We'll cover how to create them as single line vectors so you never have to deal with that again!

Centerline Trace & Alternatives

We'll talk about the centerline trace feature and why I don't think it's quite up to speed for what we need as laser designers, and instead, what I do to create single line files from raster drawings.

Sourcing References

We'll discuss the ethical ways to source reference images and why it's important to make sure you only use things you have COMMERCIAL rights to. So many beginners aren't aware of this and you can get yourself into hot water quickly. We'll go over some great resources to help you make sure you are doing things the right way.

Creating an Online Digital File Listing

Watch me create a brand new listing for my digital file shop. I'll explain the different fields and what you need to include in order to be successful.

...and more.
