Choosing the Right Subscription Tier (and Why They’re Set Up This Way)

When I talk about my file subscription, I always want to be honest about one thing first: it doesn’t matter how much I love the designs if they don’t actually work for you.

That’s why the subscription is tiered. Different makers work differently, sell differently, and need different things from their files. The goal here isn’t to upsell everyone into the biggest option — it’s to help you choose what fits your budget, your workflow, and your creative goals.

Here’s a clear breakdown of what each tier is designed to do.

Bronze Tier: Versatility & Easy Add-Ons

Bronze Tier is the most affordable option at $5 a month, and it’s built around versatility.

Each month, Bronze includes a set of scoring patterns with at least four backer shapes, plus coordinating charm and icon sets. These designs are intentionally flexible — they’re meant to help you create add-ons, upgrades, and quick-turn products that don’t add hours of extra work.

Bronze works especially well for makers who want to:

• add value to existing products

• offer lower-priced add-ons

• create quick items using scrap or leftover materials

Some common ways people use Bronze Tier files include:

• backer layers for signage like welcome signs, bar menus, table numbers, door signs, classroom banners, or kids’ room art - an easy way to elevate without a lot of work

• matching card keepers for events — an easy ribbon-tied add-on that pairs with signage and barely takes any time to make

• scored designs for tumblers, shakers, earrings, and keychains - quick to whip up with minimal editing

• simple DIY kits or party favors using charms - just add some crayons or markers and you're all set

The idea is simple: if you sell even one item made with these files, you’ve already covered the cost of the month.

Silver Tier: Statement Pieces That Stand Out

If Bronze is about flexibility, Silver Tier is about impact.

Silver is designed for makers who want to offer pieces that feel more elevated and eye-catching — the kind of products people stop to look at when they walk past your booth. At $10 a month, it's less than a meal at a drive-through and still provides value while remaining affordable.

This tier focuses on focal-point designs. These files are meant to look intricate and high-end, without taking forever to make. Each month is a little different to keep things interesting, but the goal stays consistent: bold, intentional designs that translate into statement pieces. Sell one of these pieces, and you can cover a few months of your subscription.

Silver Tier files are often used for:

• centerpiece-style decor

• booth display pieces that photograph well

• products that comfortably justify a higher price point

To make working with layered or detailed designs easier, Silver Tier includes:

• design variations so you can adapt pieces to your setup

• basic kerf adjustments when needed

• color-sorted files and diagrams for smoother assembly

• Jigs if needed

Everything is organized so you can drop the files into your laser software, cut, and assemble without unnecessary test cutting or frustration.

Silver Tier is a great fit if you:

• enjoy the design side of making, not just production

• want your work to feel premium and intentional

• like offering unique pieces that stand out from standard cut files

Silver also includes everything from Bronze, so you’re building on that foundation rather than starting over.

Gold Tier: Free-Style Creativity & Full Access

Gold Tier is the free-style option — and the biggest, most flexible tier in the subscription, with extra tools and tutorials meant to really help you grow. At $25 a month, it is still less than my average DoorDash order.

Each month is a bundle that can include a wide variety of designs, such as:

• earrings

• bag tags

• milestone sets or trackers

• dry-erase designs

• single-line files

• light up pieces

• and other creative experiments

Variations are always included, and the mix changes month to month. This tier is designed for makers who like variety and want the freedom to explore different types of projects without being boxed into one format. It gives me a little more creative flexibility, too.

Gold Tier also includes:

• access to the private Facebook group

• a full video library of mini tutorials

• preferential consideration for theme requests

• access to all of our courses, including Adobe Illustrator, Line Art Portraits, Acrylic Mosaics, and Procreate Handwriting Traces. These vary in price from $35 to $250, and you retain access to all (and those added in the future!) as long as your subscription is active.

Gold includes everything from Bronze and Silver, plus the added benefit of community, guidance, and lessons to help you create your own designs. It’s ideal for makers who want the full toolkit, for those who like having both structure and room to experiment.

• Gold is for makers who want variety, support, community, and the freedom to explore creatively and grow your design skills.

The goal of this subscription isn’t to overwhelm you with files — it’s to give you tools that actually earn their place in your workflow.
